Scholar People, a brand-new open-access publisher from India, has released a suite of journals including one with a rather curious name.
We’re intrigued by the Journal of Foreign Anatomy. We always thought that anatomy really didn’t vary much from country to country.
In many countries, scholars get more tenure and promotion credit — as well as yearly salary adjustments — based on their research output. In some countries such as India, more credit is given for publications in foreign, rather than national, journals.
We suspect that this publisher is attempting to create a “foreign” journal that focuses on anatomy. Unfortunately, the naming process failed, and we have a journal with a ridiculous title. A better title might have been The Foreign Journal of Anatomy, but this still sounds ridiculous.
In the last couple days, this publisher has introduced a new journal: the Journal of Foreign Psychology.

“We always thought that anatomy really didn’t vary much from country to country.” You are right but not stupidity and greed !!!!
Journal of Foreign Anatomy as opposed to Journal of Domestic Anatomy. I think I just got an idea for a title. I wonder… did they mean forensic anatomy?
Foreign psychology almost makes sense. Almost.
