Based in Tehran
We have observed the appearance of a new publisher: Swiss Journals. The publisher offers 16 journal titles in the fields of engineering, applied sciences, and health sciences.
By looking up the domain name registration, we determined that this publisher is the work of Dr. Shapoor Zarei, of Tehran, Iran. An email response from him confirmed that he is indeed the publisher.
We think it is misleading to call a publisher “Swiss Journals” when it is not based in Switzerland. There appears to be a single editorial board for all 16 of the journals, yet not a single member is from Switzerland.
The site makes extensive use of the Swiss red cross symbol. At this time, none of the journals has any content. We advise against having any contact or engaging in any business with this bogus publisher.
[Author's note, August 31, 2012: Dr. Thomas Gross has kindly pointed out that the red cross is not the symbol on the Swiss flag. He writes, "The Swiss flag is actually a white cross on a red square. The Red Cross "inverted" the Swiss flag to obtain its symbol but the Red Cross symbol is not owned by the Swiss. The use of the red cross tells me how little these operators (or this operator) knows about Switzerland. " Thank you Dr. Gross for this correction!.]

All submitted paper should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical, and will be peer-reviewed. Papers submitted to the journal should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the journal and are subject to both review and editing.
Each paper will send to 3 independent Reviewers. Unanimous acceptance by all 3 of the reviewers is required. The final list of the accepted papers must be approved by one associate editor (or member of the scientific committee), 3 reviewers and the Journal’s Editor-in-Chief.
